Life gets busy, but making time for those we consider close friends and family, is important! Here are a few of my favourite things to do with friends I love:
Treat them to dates, and vice versa.
My bestie Michaela and I go on dates every month, and alternate on who gets the bill each time. We make huge effort with each date by searching the coolest most affordable restaurants in cool parts of London, and keep it a surprise. It shows that we make an effort and even adds to a more exciting reason to want to catch up and kick back!
My fave restaurants we’ve been to so far are definitely Tramshed, Absurd Bird, Dirty Bones, and Pivaz. Must go to eat in London!
Sleep over!
I love staying at my girlie Rae’s house. We’re business partners and run Pursue Your Passion together, so some of our sleepover sessions will also consist of that as well as life talks, laughing till our bellies hurt, HER MUM’S AMAZING FOOD, and prayer 🙂
My colleague and friend Amrit also stayed at mine once, and it was so nice! Crazy considering we work in the same building yet rarely see each other!
Go to a concert
My human jukebox AKA Lauren’s music taste is one I super duper warm to a lot. I hum a song to her and she gets it immediately! (If hummed correctly that is haha). We outfit plan and count down the days together, and to be honest, the experience of live music is like no other, especially when spent with good company.
Make a big deal out of mutual events
Knowing that a mutual friend is having a party makes me want to make an even bigger deal with a friend I haven’t seen in a while. From outfit planning, to where we’ll meet to pre-drink, get home together, etc.
Travel together
I can be super picky with who I travel with, read more here. But I’m glad in saying my close friends are people I can travel with again and again. Having a trip to look forward to is always nice amidst a busy working schedule and being able to fully catch up over a holiday with barely any distractions. I have a long distance friend Marija who lives in another country, and as well as regular communication, we also ensure we have a yearly trip together since she moved from London. So far it’s been Switzerland, Switzerland, Lisbon, and London next!
(Phone calls are cute too but I’m very big on face to face!)
Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit.
