Working within these two major platforms have added to the rewarding moments of working for the BBC.
Many people still don’t realise that News and Current Affairs are not the same thing:
1) You don’t see work as a 9-5, you work on projects you’re passionate about around the clock, and you utilise your 24 hours as much as Beyoncé does!
2) You’re selective with who you spend your time with, only the ones who help you to grow and keep a positive mindset are the ones worthy your time.
3) You connect with the most amazing individuals, whether on a professional basis or not.
I’m a big lover of several different feel-good, bouncy, coily, and most importantly natural looking hairstyles.
Caribbean food has always been on my top 10 of must eats. The flavours and special time made to prepare such delicious meals are much appreciated by people who prefer wholesome, home cooked meals.
Ackee and saltfish, fritters, patties, jerk chicken, curry goat, rice and peas; the lot!
However, The services when ordering and receiving the food is a different experience. I found myself having to often make a phone call whilst walking into my local Caribbean takeaway store, so that I seemed occupied whilst being greeted by the impatient workers.
“Wah yuh want?”
“Next!”
“Can I help?”
Each with aggressive facial expressions and no politeness at all…
It’s a big slice of liberation mixed with happiness and contentment. It’s been a week where I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my own company and funnily enough gotten to know myself a bit more than usual.
It’s a placebo. Well from my eyes it felt like it. When I began my gym membership in the January of 2015, it was purely for better general health, and to implement that into my personal lifestyle, not just for when feel like entering a building full of sweaty and bulky people working about in gym wear.
